200L Planted Amazon Biotope

A lush 200-liter Amazon biotope aquarium designed for a client who wanted a slice of the Rio Negro in their living room. We used blackwater parameters with Indian almond leaves, driftwood from the Amazon basin, and a careful selection of cardinal tetras, corydoras, and angelfish. The plant palette included Amazon swords, java ferns, and floating frogbit to create dappled lighting conditions. A custom-built cabinet with a matte black finish houses the canister filtration and CO2 injection system.
